Settlin' Down in NC
i thought it would be a good idea to start one of these for family and friends to check in on us. y'all have to make sure we don't get dragged off into the woods by the spiders or somethin'!. if you don't know the story....you should. its great. we miss everyone very much, but we're all doing great down here. so far the weather has been temperate, a little rainy here and there but wearing flip flops in January is extremely fun.
some of you know that we lost miracle. we have her in our thoughts and hearts every day. we'll share some really good photos of her as that's what is comforting us right now.
mom, ed & kenzie are in india. fabulous. i'm so excited for them. they've sent some really wonderful photos and as different as it is i think they're going to be completely changed by their experiences. i can't imagine how much knowledge they got from the first day alone, much less the three to four years of knowledge they'll have when they come back. so i'm going to pull all of it out of them. and hopefully land a few cool things that one would never find here.
britt is growing up so fast. its amazing. she's so independent and strong and...well, sassy. half the time j and i don't know if we should yell at her or laugh with her. she's reading, adding and subtracting, current events and some science interest her and she's really good at telling us what to do. she loves her new school down here and it doesn't hurt that she has a suite in our new house.
our new house is great. a few things here and there to fix, but its so nice to have space....clean space!
j is working his tail off. he'd better be careful because he doesn't have much back there to start ;-) BUT he really likes the company and the people he works with. and i think he's liking the area more and more as we get settled.
me, while i'm holding down the fort i work on getting my jewelry websites running and i have been slowly getting all my art supplies put away. i'm getting ready to make another line of chocolate and a new line of pet jewelry....the miracle necklace, because every big dog out there needs a bit of bling.
ciao for now....
